WATCH: Why Most Kids Never Discover Their Artistic Potential
In this short video you'll discover:
- Why school art classes rarely build real artistic skill
- Crafts vs. real artistic development
- The 3 stages young artists progress through
- How guided instruction builds confidence
- Why the early creative years matter
Summer Shouldn’t Mean Creative Drift
When school is out, creative kids need more than screen time and random activities. They need something engaging, hands-on, and meaningful — something that keeps their imagination active while helping them grow.
Summer workshops give students the chance to step into a real art studio environment and dive deeper into their creativity.
Benefits
Why parents love summer workshops:
- A fun, enriching alternative to passive summer activities
- Exposure to new techniques, materials, and artistic styles
- A focused studio setting that encourages creativity
- A great way for new students to experience the studio
- A strong option for returning students to keep building their skills
What Your Child Can Expect
During summer workshops, students explore art in a way that feels exciting and immersive. They may experiment with drawing, painting, watercolor, clay, and mixed creative projects while receiving real guidance in a supportive setting. This helps them build both skill and confidence while enjoying the process of making art.
A Great Fit for Both New and Returning Students
If your child already loves art, summer workshops are a chance to go deeper. If they’re just beginning, this is a low-pressure way to discover whether the studio is the right fit before enrolling in weekly classes.
Give Your Child a More Creative Summer
Summer doesn’t last long. Reserve a spot and give your child a chance to create, explore, and grow in a studio environment that takes their creativity seriously.
Stage 1
Belonging & Confidence
Many students arrive shy or unsure. Within weeks they begin connecting with other creative kids and realizing they belong in a space where imagination is encouraged. Confidence begins here.
Stage 2
Skill & Technique
Students begin learning real artistic fundamentals: composition, color theory, proportion, and artistic styles. They move beyond “cute art projects” and begin developing real skill.
Stage 3
Portfolio & Ownership
Students begin building a body of work. They see their progress.
Their confidence grows. Some even begin preparing portfolios for advanced programs or art schools.

MEET SUZIE BURRIS
Art has always been a meaningful part of my life. As a child I loved creating, and today I see that same spark in my own children. Watching their creativity grow reminded me how important it is for kids to have a place where their artistic ability can truly develop.
I’m passionate about helping children build confidence through creativity. In a time when so much of childhood happens on screens, I believe kids need a space where they can slow down, create with their hands, and discover what they’re capable of as young artists.
